Strategic Account Manager


Salary: £60k + Bonus

Reports to: 

Head of Sales and Marketing


Company office in the City of London with remote work in line with company policy. Some overseas travel may be required.

Job Description:

The Strategic Account Manager is expected to support sales and marketing activities on behalf of MIS’ SaaS and consulting business. The role will conduct a wide range of business development, marketing and client relationship management activities.

MIS has two offerings, MIS’ Global Events Observer (GEO) Software as a Service Solution (SaaS) is an innovative product within the insurtech space, providing insurance clients with actionable insight into catastrophic events on a global scale. MIS’ consulting practice offers organisations the ability to access world-class intelligence capabilities to support bespoke and varied use cases.

MIS is becoming an established solution within the insurance marketplace and MIS is seeking to reinforce early commercial success through recruitment of a dedicated Strategic Account Manager to close existing pipeline opportunities, support the onboarding and ongoing support of clients, and to bring the GEO value proposition to new customers.

This role is integral in helping to drive forward our scale up strategy in London and globally to ensure we:

  • Maximise our opportunities to grow our revenues from existing and prospective clients;
  • Provide high quality and accurate information to our consulting clients;
  • Raise the firm’s profile and position within our key markets

Areas of Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify relevant leads in a variety of sectors and territories across the UK and internationally
  • Proactively open and close viable business opportunities
  • Liaise with and manage consulting projects
  • Manage global customers
  • Ownership of key strategic accounts
Skill Sets and Experience:
Must Haves:

  • A strong track record of selling services / managing clients within the insurance industry, achieving and exceeding targets 
  • Experience in providing geospatial solutions

Highly Desirable:

  • Consulting / project management experience 
  • Familiarity with insurance, legal, or defense industries


  • Relevant marketing or sales qualification, such as the CIM or equivalent
